Mr. Walsh brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in the services and technology industries, including more than a decade of global business management within the United States, Asia, Europe and Latin America. An accomplished executive decision-maker extremely capable of identifying, recruiting, retaining, motivating and leading top performers to organizational success, he has proven operational management success with experience in strategy, product development, mergers & acquisition, marketing, sales, customer service, and consulting.
Former positions Mr. Walsh has held include Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and President at Open Harbor, Velosant, Epiphany, Octane Inc., and PeopleSoft International, among others. Prior to this Mr. Walsh worked for Accenture providing advice and implementation services to Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Walsh serves on the board of directors and advisors for several companies and additionally provides assistance and guidance to other organizations through executive consulting services. He received his B.A., in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from DePaul University and his MBA in Marketing/Finance from Loyola University of Chicago, and is a member in good standing of the Business Owners and Managers Association.
Mr. Porter has spent the past decade working with emerging growth companies from both a strategic and legal perspective, endeavoring to open new markets, drive revenue and help navigate those companies through a myriad of complex business, strategic and intellectual property issues. He has successfully advised companies through mergers and acquisitions, in building successful product lines and built comprehensive strategic plans for developing channel revenue. Prior to founding Skylake Development, he held positions as Director, Business Development at two successful technology companies, and was an Associate at Cooley Godward LP (in its Palo Alto office) and at Morgan, Lewis and Bockius LLC (in its Washington, D.C. office) two of the country’s largest law firms.
Mr. Porter is a cum laude graduate of Duke University with a B.A in History, Economics and Political Science, and holds a J.D. from Duke University School of Law. Mr. Porter is admitted to the State Bar of California and is a licensed Real Estate Broker. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors and the San Francisco and North Bay Association of Realtors.
Mr. Brown has over 20 years of experience in the finance and technology industries. At both the executive and board level, he has worked with a number of leading companies in the software, communications, semiconductor and supply chain logistics industries to chart corporate strategy and manage internal operations. His experience includes positions with IBM Corporation, Oracle Corporation, Amber Ventures and Lehman Brothers.
Mr. Brown’s background includes a number of years in the investment banking and venture capital industries. He has also worked as a senior finance executive in capacities including CFO, Mergers and Acquisitions and Treasury. His successful track record as a venture capitalist includes investments in the software, semiconductor, communications and healthcare sectors. He has consulted to or been a board member or observer for the following companies: Commerce One, Genoa, BroadLogic Network Technologies, Appareon Software, SingleSourceIT and Velosant. Other representative investments include Interwoven, Atheros Communications and CrossWorlds Software.
Mr. Brown received his M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. in Decision Sciences, Finance and Accounting.
Mr. Carvell co-founded Skylake Development Company in 2004. With a focus on delivering the highest level of customer service to our clients, Mr. Carvell is responsible for identifying and implementing technology solutions for Skylake Development Company.
Mr. Carvell brings more than 25 years of experience in the software and customer services industries in the United States, Europe, and Latin America. He has extensive experience leading complex projects, driving start-up operations, and identifying and implementing technology solutions. Before co-founding Skylake, Mr. Carvell served as Vice President of Customer Services and Professional Services for PeopleSoft Latin America where he built and managed teams in Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, and Miami to service the PeopleSoft Latin America customer base. Before joining PeopleSoft, Mr. Carvell served 10 years at Bank of America where he held various management positions in product management, system development, and customer services. Mr. Carvell holds a B.S. degree from the University of California, Riverside.
